Steel structures require a load-bearing thermal break: an insulation part that absorbs mechanical load while interrupting heat conduction. A cold bridge occurs where a connection in a structure allows cold to travel from the outside to the inside of the building. In addition to heat loss through the building envelope, corrosion can also develop at transition points. These heat transfer processes require a thermal break, also known as cold bridge insulation. A blow foil production line requires precise heat management for consistent foil production. The extruder and die must remain at the right temperature for a homogeneous material thickness.
